Stepping Up Orange Juice to Orange Julius

This easy Orange Julius recipe is packed with vitamin C and made with orange juice, milk, water, sugar, ice, and vanilla. A simple drink to cool you down!

Raise your hand if your mom would make you Orange Julius when you were a kid? ME! Serious, my mom would make it all the time and we absolutely loved it. Now when I make it for my kids it brings all the memories along with it.

My kids are always looking in the fridge for something yummy and different when they come running in after a long day in the slip-n-slide. Now, if that doesn’t take you back to your childhood I don’t know what does.

My Childhood Memories

Sipping on one of these really brings me a lot of happy memories of summertime as a kid. I remember when my mom would get out the blender, pour all the ingredients in, and make us the best drink we had ever tasted. Orange juice has always been a part of my life and I want to continue that with my kids.

The best day was when my older sister learned how to make it. Saturday mornings my parents would go to the gym, leaving us at home, and my sister would make us orange Julius and we’d watch cartoons and American Gladiator. These are days I will never forget!

Never had Orange Julius?

If you have never had an Orange Julius before I would describe the flavor to be like a creamsicle, but in a smoothie form.

It’s so simple to make one if these. Basically, all you have to do is blend up a combination of orange juice, milk, ice, and vanilla. It doesn’t get much easier than that.

These are so refreshing in the summer, but really you can enjoy them any time if the year. My kids love them and with the weather finally warming up they have asked for us to make it all the time. Guess what? I am okay with that!

2 cups Orange Juice

½ cup water

½ cup milk

¼ cup sugar

Ice cubes

1 tsp vanilla

Combine ingredients in a blender and mix until completely blended. Serve chilled.
