First day of Fall: Make Peach Cobbler

It is so weird to me that some things are more popular to eat at certain times of the year. I mean it does make sense because certain fruits are in season at certain times of the year, but when it comes to peach cobbler I feel like they are always best right at the end of summer. So then, why do we eat it so much when peaches are their best at the end of summer?

I decided I was going to take a risk and make peach cobbler at the beginning of fall instead of the summer since the peaches are better now. Call me crazy.

My whole life I have always been a peach fan. My mom would always can peaches and I remember going down in the basement, grabbing a jar of peaches from our storage room, and putting peaches and cottage cheese in a bowl. That was the best breakfast and I would eat it all the time. If I got really lazy, I would just open up a jar of peaches and eat right out of the jar. The whole thing! Let’s just say, there were some great bathroom stories to come from that, but I won’t gross you out.

I had never made peach cobbler before and my in laws had peaches coming out of their ears from their peach trees. I had to try making this since it’s the end of summer and we’re going into fall. Really, why can’t you just make this amazing treat all year long? I mean, you really can and don’t let society tell you otherwise.
