Favorite Pregnant Fashion Brands

I can only imagine how it it is to find cute, comfortable clothes when you are pregnant. I know that when I am eating dozens of Dunkin Doughnuts followed up with a five bucks hot and ready from Little Caesars and a couple bags of crazy bread I want to climb into something more comfortable. Okay, it’s not the same, but I do get it when your clothes don’t fit comfortably.

Fortunately there are now plenty of options for the pregnant woman to look and feel comfortable. Not every look is for everyone, but I thought that I would give some suggestions on some brands to try out. And for us guys, just get her whatever she feels the most comfortable in because otherwise she isn’t going to be feeling very good about herself and with the hormones you’re going to be sleeping on the couch.

Dresses:

Personally, I think t-shirt dresses look super cute and comfortable. I personally haven’t ever worn one, but after talking to many women (pregnant and not) they tend to love them. My favorites are the ones by Sonnet James. Whitney, the creator of Sonnet James, says, ” That with the right dress you can look great without letting your clothes get in the way of the next big adventure!”

Sonnet James was born out of the idea that beautiful clothing should work for moms—durable, comfortable, and beautiful, yet easy to care for. Plus, since they have 8% spandex they are going to stretch, but will not stretch so much that you wouldn’t be able to wear them again after your pregnancy.

Pants:

Notice I say pants and not leggings. There is a difference. You know that right? Pants are thicker than leggings most of the time and when they stretch they aren’t see through. Okay, now that we are on the same page let’s talk pants. Being pregnant you will want to be comfortable and what is more comfortable than sweatpants? LuluLemon makes amazing Yoga Sweater pants, Yoga Party pants and Wunder Under pants (closest to leggings). These are not only comfortable, but also going to stretch with your growing belly. We get it though, you will grow and so get something that isn’t going to make you feel restricted.

Comfort Wear:

Okay, now I know that every pregnant woman is going to come at me becuase they just want to be comfortable during this time and there is nothing more comfortable than a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt. I get it! But just so we are clear, leggings are NOT pants!

Thankfully there are some amazing brands out there that make great leggings that are thick (so we don’t see through them) and comfortable. And I love wearing the Hello Apparel sweatshirts because they are so soft and lucky for both of us, they are unisex.

Footwear:

I am a firm believer that you need to take special care of your feet while pregnant. We have a toddler and my wife is constantly chasing him around trying to keep him in control and it isn’t easy. He keeps her on her toes for sure. That being said, you need to make sure your are taking care of your feet with shoes or sandals that will give you support, protection and be comfortable.

Here are my two favorites:
