Stroller Built for Two

When you start having kids there are some big purchases to really think about: crib, car seat and stroller. When we had our son I had to get the BOB stroller because it’s the Cadillac of strollers; smooth ride, spacious, high quality. But when planning out your family in advance maybe the BOB isn’t the best purchase for you. Maybe you should look into getting a stroller that is going to grow with your family and make your life easier. There are plenty of options out there, but let me tell you my favorite and why it works for my family.

Stroller Built for Two | The Modern DadThe City Select stroller by Baby Jogger is the best for a growing family. There are a lot of things that I had to have when getting a stroller that would work for my family:

  • Multiple seats. I want a stroller where I can add two seats or even a glider board for a child to stand on. A bonus is being able to hold my carseat too, talk about convenient!
  • Light weight. My wife is going to be using it more than me so I want it to be easy for her to get in and out of the car.
  • Breaks down easily and pretty flat. I can’t do another super bulky stroller and so if there is a possibility for it to lay pretty flat that is great.
  • Storage. We never go shopping without our stroller, so for it to have a lot of storage space, is ideal. Stroller Built for Two | The Modern Dad

When we had our son, I was working at a local baby store (Babinski’s) where I made an effort to really know the products and have the store only sell the best. The City Select always was my go to stroller for everyone that came in. If they were having a baby or planning on having another one soon, there was never a question in my mind, the City Select was perfect. I had to get one for myself. The Stroller Built for Two | The Modern Dad

The City Select had everything I was looking for: fit great in our trunk, still leaving us room for Costco grocery shopping, light weight and easy to break down while hauling two kids and it was completely affordable. I loved the flexibility that I would have to put a car seat alone on it, one seat, a seat and a car seat or two seats. I know that for a while we are going to have to be pushing around two kids in the stroller and the City Select was gold.

Some may say that they would never pay that much for a stroller, but the thing is, when you are making these purchases that are going to be last through multiple children, you want something that will last. You have to think that you are making an investment. Here’s how I looked at it, I would rather buy one great stroller that will last through all of my kids then a bunch of crappy strollers that will eventually add up my my City Select.

At the end of the day, the choice is yours. You can go out there and pay a crazy amount for a very bulky stroller, or you can just listen to me and know that you will not be disappointed with this decision.
