Breakfast Detox Drink

I am not one to get sick often, but when I do I will do, take or even drink anything to get better faster. For years I had heard how taking a shot of this or that would prevent you from getting sick. They even claimed to help you recover faster. I decided to take these detox drinks to test and try them out myself.

My friends know that if I ask a question on what to do, 98% of the time I will try any suggestions that they give. One of my friends told me of a drink concoction that she swears by. It didn’t sound appetizing in any way, but I am always willing to try anything.

Doing the 17 Day Diet I had already gotten into the habit of drinking warm lemon water every morning, so all I was doing was adding a little more to that: apple cider vinegar, honey, cinnamon and cayenne. Who in their right mind would drink that? Not only that, but drink it every morning? Well, I was ready to try it out and see what benefits if any, I would notice.

Since I was sick I knew that the apple cider vinegar would help soothe a sore throat due to its bacteria killing agents. In its raw form, apple cider vinegar has a significant amount of enzymes, vitamins and minerals. It also can help boost immunity by rinsing the digestive tract and other bacteria-ridden areas as it moves throughout the body.

Lemon I knew aids the digestive system and makes the process of eliminating the waste products from the body easier. It’ll make you “regular” if you know what I mean. Read these Benefits Of Lemon Water In The Morning (And How To Make It).

When I read the part to add honey I was stoked. I felt like this may just be to sweeten it up and make it taste a billion times better, but there is so much more.

Honey is also anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal. So if you are drinking it for a cold, it’s really the anti-viral part that matters.

Cinnamon on the other hand was a little weird to me. Why would I add cinnamon to my drink? After all, I kept hearing how the cinnamon challenge isn’t the best idea, but people do it because they’re idiots. I had to know the reasoning for it.

Turns out, cinnamon aids in blood sugar control to promote weight loss. Ummmm did that say weight loss? PERFECT!!! Now you’re talking my language. And according to the National Institutes of Health, cinnamaoldehyde – a chemical found in Cassia cinnamon – can help fight against bacterial and fungal infections. So that makes sense why to add it to this health potion.

Now, why the cayenne pepper? I felt like my friends hated me when they said this. I guess cayenne pepper stimulates the circulatory system by opening the capillaries, aids digestion and helps regulate blood sugar. Not only that, but it increases the temperature of your body and kick-starts your metabolism, which in fact can help you to lose weight.

Is this a dream drink? I think so! Does it taste amazing? Not really, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever drank. That being said, use the cayenne pepper sparingly because you may want to die if you add too much.

You may ask, how do I feel after having drank this mixture? I may have a little more energy in the morning, but after reading all these benefits, I think that I really am changing on the inside. Things are moving along in my body and I really have noticed a difference.

Try it out yourself. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. But why not try it once and see what you think. If anything, your body will thank you for taking care of it. Enjoy!
